A Hingham-based nonprofit will soon be launched to provide athletic programs for special- needs children. The organization, South Shore Special Needs Athletic Partnership, will hold an informational meeting this Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Hingham Middle School auditorium, said the organization’s president, Warren Pelissier.
The nonprofit plans to partner with other community organizations to serve special-needs boys and girls from preschool age to 22. The first program will be adaptive rowing, Pelissier said, and such sports as soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, bowling, tennis, and golf could be added.
